ZTE Nubia Z11 specs, features, price and availability revealed

Following up on the Z11 Mini and Z11 Max, ZTE-owned Nubia launched the new Z11, a high-end, “borderless” device with gorgeous styling and a starting price of $375. The leaked render from January was only partially correct: the Nubia Z11 does feature an edge-to-edge screen, but it does not come with a dual camera or a curved glass back. Instead, the device features a more conventional, but attractive aluminum unibody available in gray, silver, and gold.

According to the anonymous source, Samsung’s display department has “prepared three or four solutions” when it comes to the practical issues of putting a fingerprint scanner under the main display, like cost and the movement of other interior hardware.

Fuhu announces Nabi Big Tab Android tablet line

Fuhu is known for its Nabi tabs, a series of Android tablets made for the lively kids in our families. They make them resistant and child-friendly, which does usually mean these devices come in sizes compatible with small hands. Fuhu is taking its business to another level with their latest announcement – a couple tablets that may seem more like TVs at first sight. The Nabi Big Tab HD 20 and Nabi Big Tab HD 24 come in sizes reflected by their names; 20 and 24 inches, respectively.

Amazon‘s in a bit of a celebratory mood as of late, and it’s not entirely surprising why – the retail giant refreshed its Fire HD 10 tablet, bestowed 4K on its Fire TV, and unveiled a trio of Echo devices in the span of two weeks. It might be why Amazon is handing out $10 in promo credit if you sign up for a free 30-day trial of its Music Unlimited service.

The listing clearly refers to tablets as the “future of computing.” This would be the company’s third attempt to succeed in the tablet market. Apple launched the original iPad in 2010. At the time, it was lambasted as being a ridiculous idea. A giant smartphone? What would be the point in that? Apple laughed all the way to the bank, though, as the iPad is now the world’s most popular tablet computer — and only growing.

Universal app with iMessage support

TL;DR A new subscription-based app called Beeper promises to unify 15 messaging apps. The app also touts iMessage support. The iMessage functionality requires a Mac, or Beeper will send an old iPhone to you. There are loads of cross-platform chat apps out there, with the likes of WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal all available on both Android and iOS. Unfortunately, Apple’s iMessages app is still an Apple-exclusive service. But a new app promises to unify a variety of popular chat apps, including Apple’s chat platform.
