This week in Apple news we found out about some rumored RAM variants that could appear in the flagship iPhone 12 lineup this Fall. For the first time, there could be iPhones with 6GB of RAM. However, not all iPhone 12 models are likely to get that much. Elsewhere, we heard some rumors related to an iPad Pro with 5G support, Apple messing with its trade-in program, Mac shipment numbers heading in the wrong direction, and the US government stepping in to ask Apple about breaking its own encryption (again).

Google is working to bring Nintendo Switch controller support to Chrome

It should come as no surprise that Google is diving deep into gaming. Between Project Stream and leaked information about Project Yeti, it’s clear that the search giant is trying to change the future of gaming. As we quickly approach Google’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) announcement, ChromeUnboxed discovered signs that the company might soon add Nintendo Switch support to Chrome. Several days ago, before the teaser trailer was released, ChromeUnboxed found commits to Chromium that mentioned adding Switch controller support over Bluetooth and USB to Chrome.

When Samsung's Exynos was the best flagship chipset for Android

Samsung confirmed last month that it was shutting down its custom CPU division, responsible for its long-running Mongoose CPU cores. The news was welcomed by some enthusiasts, ostensibly hoping that this meant Samsung relied on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon silicon for future flagships. Of course, this isn’t necessarily the case, as Samsung has produced high-end Exynos chipsets without custom CPUs. But for all the criticism leveled at the Korean company, it wasn’t long ago that it had the best chipset in the Android smartphone world.

TL;DR You can now download all eight of the OnePlus 6T wallpapers. The new images add a metallic look to the color swirl design found on previous wallpapers. Live wallpapers were also pulled off of the OnePlus 6T, but can only be used on the OnePlus 6. Looking at the various images below, the OnePlus 6T features eight wallpapers in total. While four are from the previously released OnePlus 6, the Chinese company yet again worked with designer Hampus Olsson on creating another four specifically for the new handset.

If geometry and physics are what you looking for a good time, then head out to Google Play Store and download the recently ported Cubes vs. Spheres. As it name implies, it’s a battle between three-dimensional objects: you are defending your turf from a horde of invading cubes by throwing balls at them. It is, no doubt, a simple gameplay but it will certainly entertain you for hours. The game starts off easy, although you will be soon using 6 different types of Spheres that can blast, freeze, flatten, and confuse the Cubes into oblivion.

New Live Albums within Google Photos rolling out now

TL;DR The Live Albums feature in Google Photos is rolling out now. Google announced Live Albums at its hardware event on Tuesday, alongside the Google Pixel 3 and the Google Home Hub. Using Live Albums, you can easily create themed photo albums using the power of AI. The new Live Albums feature allows you to create photo collections on-the-fly using the power of Google Assistant. All you have to do is make a new album within Google Photos and then select the people you would like to appear in that album.
