Google on Christmas day has quietly announced via its Google Play Google Plus page that its Play Store Gift Cards are available for purchase from a variety of third-party retail partners including Target, GameStop, Radio Shack, Walmart and others. Android fans of the YouTube app will soon notice that the main navigation bar will be moved from the top to the bottom of the app. This is part of the latest update to the YouTube app, which began rolling out today in the Google Play Store.
In a post on its product forums, Google stated that this new update for Android will make the YouTube experience more consistent across its mobile platforms (the new UI is already available on the iOS app).

Towards the end of last month, the much anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update began rolling out to Galaxy S4 customers in the US, including Sprint, AT&T, and US cellular variants. Google has removed two apps from the Play Store for advertising fraud. The apps in question are CM File Manager and Kika Keyboard. The removal comes after a Buzzfeed story detailed allegations of ad fraud against the developers. The search giant removed the CM File Manager and Kika Keyboard apps for “deceptive and malicious behavior,” according to Buzzfeed.
Google is making a small, but potentially significant, change in its organization, linking two separate teams and putting them under one division. The Daydream team, responsible for the Daydream View VR headset and software, is now working alongside the Tango team, which created the 3D depth sensing camera for smartphones and tablets.
UploadVR confirmed the change while speaking to Johnny Lee, the director of engineering for the Tango team, at a recent press event.
HTC has had a difficult couple of years.
