Gameloft Live for the Android Market

For a while now, Gameloft has always preferred distributing their games on its own app store. But if needed, the company will be willing to launch their games on the Android Market. This is exactly what the company did for Android. The standalone Gameloft Live app is now available on the Android Market. The Gameloft Live app lets its users stay connected with over 7 million players connected to the game.

Google Camera teardown reveals McFly mode: What to expect?

Google Camera is arguably one of Google’s greatest creations, bringing fantastic picture quality to its Pixel smartphones. We’ve previously seen the company add features like HDR+ and Night Sight to the app, but it looks like another addition is in the works. According to a teardown of the Google Camera app (version 6.3) by 9to5Google, the Mountain View company is working on a so-called McFly Mode. Mentions of the mode are also accompanied by references to “rewind” functionality, so what does this mean?

Google will spend $1 billion on new NYC campus 'Google Hudson Square'

TL;DR The new Google NYC campus will be called “Google Hudson Square.” Google Hudson Square will cost at least $1 billion. The campus expansion will be finalized by 2022 and will allow Google to double its current staff numbers in the city. Today, Google revealed its official plans for the expansion of its New York City campus, via Politico. The new Google NYC headquarters will be dubbed “Google Hudson Square,” aptly named due to the location of the buildings in the lower Manhattan district by the same name.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard just love the Galaxy Tab S

Samsung released no fewer than seven ads following the release of the larger iPhones last week. After all the jabs at Apple, it’s good to see the Korean company focusing on its own products in its newest commercial. The 90 second clip stars Hollywood couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, who ostensibly are big fans of Samsung’s Tab S series of AMOLED tablets. From making plans for the day on a lazy morning, to playing Asphalt 8 racing on the couch, to skipping some fancy soiree for a movie, Dax and Kristen are just your normal average couple with an unhealthy obsession for Samsung tablets.

Nintendo announces E3 event, could be Nintendo Switch Pro reveal?

TL;DR Multiple rumors suggest that Nintendo could launch its anticipated Nintendo Switch Pro console this month. Today, Nintendo officially scheduled an E3-based Nintendo Direct for June 15. Obviously, the company doesn’t confirm or deny that it would reveal a new console, but it’s certainly possible. Over the past few weeks, rumors have been ramping up that Nintendo could soon launch an updated version of its most recent home console.

Pixel 5 Portrait Light feature rolling out to other Pixels

TL;DR Portrait Light is one of the star photo editing features of the Google Pixel 5. The feature allows you to alter the lighting around a subject’s face after the photo has already been taken. Older Pixel devices can expect the feature starting today. In our video review of the Google Pixel 5 (give it a watch here), we spent a good amount of time covering the Portrait Light feature.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 review - Android Authority

It’s a new year and Xiaomi is not stepping down in the competition for releasing devices that offer the most bang for your buck. Only some months after the release of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, the Chinese manufacturer has released the Redmi 3. I have been spending some time with the new handset and am ready to give you the full rundown, so let’s dig right into the details.

ZTE Axon vs LG G4 quick look

We’re in New York to see ZTE’s new and highly ambitious offering for the US market, the Axon. Combining a striking all-metal design with some of the finest specifications on the market, the Axon deserves your attention in and of itself. But ZTE seems decided to make this device a homerun, which may explain the Axon’s affordable price tag: $500 unlocked. The Android arena is nothing if not competitive, so can a newcomer (even one with the massive might of ZTE at its back) take on heavyweights like Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9, or the LG G4?

Mediatek unveils 64-bit octa-core SoC with support for 2k displays

MediaTek has quickly become one of the most important chip-makers in the Android world, largely due to its presence in a large number of devices aimed at emerging markets across the globe, including India and China. That said, it’s reputation for less-than-great SoCs and its unwillingness to release source code means that it isn’t exactly the brand of choice for most hardcore Android enthusiasts. MediaTek is no Qualcomm when it comes to innovation either, but that doesn’t mean it won’t occasionally release something worth sitting up and taking notice of.
