Hands-on photos of Galaxy Mega 6.3 show just how huge it is

The recently announced Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 blurs the line between smartphones and tablets. A set of hands-on images shows just how big the device is compared to a “regular” smartphone. On Thursday, Samsung took the wraps off the new Mega line, and let’s just say that, if a device ever deserved its name, it’s the Galaxy Mega 6.3. The 6.3-inch phone/tablet has already garnered a fair share of hyperbole and epithets, with bloggers and tech journalists particularly favoring terms like “monstrous” and “gargantuan”.

Hands-on with Sony's new mid-rangers: Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2

Whether you’re a fan of Sony’s smartphone design or couldn’t care less, the near bezel-less aesthetic has become more commonplace. You won’t find that aesthetic on the Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2, though that doesn’t mean you should disregard them as options. All three smartphones might not feature near bezel-less designs, but the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra sport edge-to-edge displays that are curved at the sides, which helps the glass bleed into the sides for a more seamless feel in the hands.

Kickstarter pick: Save $80 on the Lightwell watch

Kickstarter has changed the retail landscape forever. Manufacturers or artists get their funding, and those who back them get a great deal in reward for their faith. In return for providing this startup capital the watch is shipped directly to you, so there are no high mark-up costs for the designers to bear. This allows the lion-share of your investment to fund the high quality and responsibly-sourced materials. Parents pay thousands for kids to learn YouTuber skills at summer camps

Parents sending their kids to summer camp is a time-honored tradition. At summer camp, kids learn fun skills like archery, water sports, and crafts, all while forging lifelong friendships with other kids. However, the modern summer camp is shifting with several camps now geared towards one purpose: teaching kids how to be a YouTuber. For example, a YouTube training ground known as Level Up works with kids aged 9-15 and promises to teach them the “skills to create engaging videos.

Once you tap the “retweet with comment” option, you can add media from the toolbar. Keep in mind that the feature doesn’t yet work on a desktop browser, though that should change in the near future. Previous Twitter updates “Lights Out” March 28, 2019: Twitter users can now enable a true dark mode on the Android and iOS apps.

Apple SIM - what is it and how could it change things for Android?

There was some potentially important news amidst Apple’s iPad refresh that you may have missed. It relates to Apple’s long-anticipated “soft SIM”, offering the ability to choose a service provider on the device instead of having to switch a physical SIM card. This is a seriously muddy topic and there are far too many unanswered questions right now. The death of the SIM card could be a great thing, but much depends on how it is handled.

Bioware's Jade Empire: Special Edition arrives on Android

While not nearly as well known as other RPGs from Bioware, like the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series, Jade Empire is arguably one of the best sleeper hits the company has ever released. While originally for Xbox, and later the PC, now Jade Empire: Special Edition has landed in the Play Store! This particular port is brought to us by Aspyr, the same folks that brought us the Android versions of Star Wars: KOTOR and Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.

The first game was launched in 2012, and the sequel, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, has just been released for Android in the Google Play Store after making its debut in 2015 for the PC and consoles.

Facebook Dating is doing a test run right now in Colombia

TL;DR Facebook Dating — hinted at earlier this year — is now live in Colombia for a test run. Facebook Dating looks a lot like other dating apps, it’s just mixed in with regular Facebook. Since this is just a test run, Facebook Dating could look very different when it gets a wide release. As one would expect, Facebook Dating relies heavily on your Facebook profile, your Facebook friends, Group memberships, Events attendance, etc.
