It took the WhatsApp team ages to bring dark mode to the messaging app, finally launching the eye-friendly UI option earlier this year. But WhatsApp Web and the desktop version are still restricted to the eye-searing light mode.
Fortunately, frequent tipster WABetaInfo has revealed that the team is working to bring dark mode to WhatsApp Web and the desktop app. Check out a screenshot of the desktop app below.
The Galaxy S4 is now available from many top carriers and, as with any smartphone, there comes the risk of breaking something, typically the screen. Unfortunately, the Galaxy S4 has not performed well in drop tests. In our most recent drop test, it did not hold up to the build quality of the iPhone 5. This is a little disappointing considering the display features Gorilla Glass 3.
However, in somewhat good news, the Galaxy S4 is easy to repair, scoring an 8 out of 10 in iFixit’s teardown.
Child safety is super important in the digital age. Kids get access to the Internet at a younger and younger age these days, and the Internet didn’t get magically safer overnight. You can help, though. There are a bunch of apps that do various things. Plus, there are settings in your phone to help as well. Between some smart education, some settings tweaks, and some apps, you can keep your child safer on the Internet.
Some areas are total dead zones when it comes to mobile phone signals but they have pretty good wi-fi coverage. If that’s the case with you, and you’re always losing your phone signal, you can consider switching to wi-fi calls instead. Many Pokemon Go fans will have fond memories of FastPokeMap, easily the best Pokemon Go map tracker there was. That is, of course, until Niantic shut it down with an update. According to Niantic, map trackers don’t fall within the spirit of the game and therefore must be destroyed. But FastPokeMap has managed to crack Niantic’s blockade and should be back up and running any time now.

Of all the names that Samsung could’ve used for its latest high-end (or is it mid-range?) handset, it looks like those in South Korea will be introduced to the Galaxy Pop yet again, a phone whose design resembles the oft-delayed Galaxy Premier, but one that shares some similarity to the flagship Galaxy S3 in specs. Don’t mistake it for the old Pop, though.
If it weren’t for its design, the Galaxy Pop SHV-E220S might as well be known as the Galaxy S3 “Midi”.

Samsung’s Gear VR headset is an excellent VR solution that is compatible with disappointingly few handsets. Unlike Google Cardboard, the Gear VR isn’t just a simple viewfinder that you can insert any phone into, it works with only a handful of Samsung’s flagship phones.
Or it works with only a handful of Samsung’s flagship phones natively. One of the developers over at the XDA Developers forums has created a workaround to make other QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution phones compatible with the headset.
