A big part of the report was regarding the company’s mobile division, the section of the company which has seen a major decline over the past years. Specifically, Sony mentioned in the report that cutting costs would be a must, and that they may even consider potential “partnerships or spinoffs”.

Huawei P10 and P10 Plus: everything we know so far

In this post, which will be updated regularly, we take a closer look at the latest rumors surrounding Huawei’s upcoming flagship devices, the P10 and P10 Plus. Huawei is on the rise. The Chinese company is currently the third biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world and has been steadily increasing its presence in Western markets, especially in Europe. It is known for making great devices, like last year’s P9 and P9 Plus, which impressed us with a great looking design, premium build quality and a price tag that is more affordable when compared to some other high-end devices.

Paranoid Android 7.2.1 features Nexus 5 support, a new boot animation, and more

Much was made about Paranoid Android’s 7.2.0 release, and with good reason – it brought numerous features and bug fixes, along with support for various smartphones. As such, the popular Android ROM’s 7.2.1 update might be seen as meager from the outside, though it is still relatively substantial. The highlight of the 7.2.1 release is the official support for the Nexus 5 (hammerhead), Sony Xperia X (suzu), and the Sony Xperia X Compact (kugo).

Samsung offers new Disney wallpapers for Galaxy S10

If you’re looking for wallpapers that cleverly disguise the Galaxy S10’s punch hole display, Samsung announced this past Friday a handful of new Disney and Pixar wallpapers. The wallpapers feature characters from Frozen, The Incredibles, Zootopia, and the Mickey Mouse animated TV show. All of them incorporate the punch hole in some way, with the Mickey Mouse wallpaper hiding it in the famous mouse’s left ear. Olaf turns the punch hole into one of his buttons.

Google said it “paused” investment in the IM app earlier this year, choosing to bring several Allo features (e.g. Smart Reply and desktop support) to the Messages app instead. Read: Video messaging coming this week to Google Duo “Given Messages’ continued momentum, we’ve decided to stop supporting Allo to focus on Messages,” the company added.

You'll need to pay extra for it!

Imagine you’re not a millionaire (hard to fathom, I know). You save up all your pennies and work very hard to put together $1,400 so you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. You plug it in to charge it up but you notice something’s wrong: the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra charger that came in the box isn’t charging the phone as fast as you know it should. Color-changing phones are in the works thanks to electrochromic glass

TL;DR A color-changing smartphone is in development, according to new leaks. The phone uses electrochromic glass to change the device’s colorway seemingly on demand. Update: September 3 2020 (5:40 AM ET): We saw two videos showing a color-changing smartphone a short while ago (view article below), and we suspected that Vivo was behind the technology. Now, the BBK-affiliated company has confirmed that it’s indeed working on this.

Fitbit down or is it just you? Try these tips

Jimmy Westenberg / Android Authority TL;DR According to Down Detector, Fitbit is down for most people right now. The outage prevents your app from successfully connecting to Fitbit’s servers, which renders it mostly useless. It’s not clear how long the outage will last, but hopefully, it’s resolved soon. If you opened your Fitbit app this morning to check your sleep stats, you may have found that the app didn’t boot up correctly.

OnePlus 9 image leaks show an eclectic color mix

TL;DR A new leak appears to have revealed color options for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The 9 Pro would come in green, while the 9 would come in blue and purple. There are no antenna bands on the regular 9, but it’s not clear what material OnePlus is using. There’s less and less mystery to the OnePlus 9 series every day, but that isn’t stopping a flurry of leaks ahead of its March 23 debut.

SlickWraps experiences enormous data breach

Update, February 21, 2020 (02:55 PM ET): This whole SlickWraps thing just got more intense. First, Lynx’s Twitter account was temporarily suspended (it’s back now though). However, the Medium blog post that details all the information about the hack has been removed. Then, the CEO of SlickWraps posted a response to the breach (via Kellen from Droid-Life). The message, which you can read here, is deeply apologetic. However, it’s strange because it not only came from one of the hacked email accounts but also is dated in the future — the date February 22 is cited numerous times in the letter.
