The OnePlus 6T isn’t a huge upgrade over its predecessor, but while the specifications remain largely the same, a new and more minimalistic teardrop notch, a larger battery, and an in-display fingerprint reader make the latest OnePlus flagship stand out. What continues to be its biggest selling point though is the price, with the 6T also undercutting the competition by at least a couple of hundred dollars.
However, like any current generation smartphone, the OnePlus 6T has faced its fair share of issues since launch.
Republic Wireless is known for its amazingly low prices. The only problem is that they have never really offered enticing phones. Case and point, right now the carrier only carries the Moto G and Moto E. Not that those phones are bad! In fact, they are awesome budget handsets, but leave a lot to be desired for more demanding users. The fact that there are no high-end offerings is a bit of a problem and forces much of the market to go somewhere else for service.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 has been teased by the brand for several weeks, but it has now finally announced the phone in China. So is it a worthy follow-up to the firm’s previous flagships?
Xiaomi’s earlier teasers revealed the phone’s glass design, and those “holographic” color schemes are indeed available on the finished product as you’d expect. The company says it’s using a new process to create the back, spraying a “very fine mist” onto the glass in order to change the way the light is refracted off the device.
Update, October 12 22:32 -- Samsung has told Business Insider they are investigating what exactly went wrong with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The Korean manufacturer assured customers there would be no issues after switching battery manufacturers and exchanging defective handsets, but even replacement devices started burning up. What went wrong? Will this be a problem in future Samsung handsets? We hope not, but we should know all the details “in the coming weeks"
Update, September 5, 2019 (5:41AM ET): Samsung announced the Galaxy A90 5G a couple of days ago for the Korean market, and it’s now used IFA 2019 to confirm European availability.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s U.S. division told Android Authority that it doesn’t have anything to share regarding availability across the pond.

Update (06/27): Samsung has officially confirmed the revival of its UI customization app, Good Lock. The rebooted app, dubbed Good Lock 2018, is now available to download from the Galaxy Apps store for selected devices in Korea, the U.S., U.K., Singapore, Australia, and Canada.
Samsung says it decided to bring Good Lock back based on consumer demand for “freedom to personalize their Galaxy device’s appearance and interface experience.” The app is currently only compatible with Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9 Plus, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 8, and Galaxy FE phones running Android 8.

OnePlus isn’t generally considered at the top of the pile when it comes to camera quality, with the likes of Google, Huawei, and Samsung usually ranked ahead of it. But recently leaked OnePlus 8 Pro specs point to a phone with impressive camera hardware in theory.
Now, company CEO Pete Lau has posted OnePlus 8 Pro ultra-wide camera samples on Twitter, alongside snaps from an unnamed flagship phone. The inference is that the brighter photos with less noise belong to the upcoming OnePlus device.
