TL;DR
As usual, North America and South Korea will see Samsung Galaxy S22 Qualcomm-based models. In a series of interesting twists, India, South Africa, and the UAE will also get Snapdragon devices. Buyers in the UK and Europe will need to make do with the Exynos 2200 variant instead. Samsung’s all-new Galaxy S22 series is continuing the Korean company’s long-standing tradition of switching out the processor based on region.
The mid-range is fast taking the spotlight from the flagship, and Huawei’s Honor sub-brand is just one of the players aiming to offer premium specs at an affordable price. In the case of the Honor 7, the company has taken last year’s flagship Ascend Mate 7 and combined it with the Honor 6 Plus to create an affordable yet premium-feeling smartphone.
The Honor 7 is one of those smartphones that aims to combine a premium build with impressive specs and an even more impressive price tag, but how does it compare to the Honor 6 Plus?
Huawei is continuing its solid run that started with great smartphones long before the Nexus 6P and the Mate 8. The company is succeeding to gain international recognition and the launch of the Huawei P9, together with its Leica partnership, means that Huawei has its sights set on the top.

TL;DR
Meizu has quietly announced the Meizu Zero smartphone. The new device ditches all ports and buttons, including USB-C connectivity and the SIM slot. The Meizu Zero has an IP68 rating and 18-watt wireless charging. We’ve seen several rumors regarding a Vivo phone with no ports, but it looks like Meizu has announced its device first. Yep, the Meizu Zero is quite possibly the first smartphone with no ports or proper buttons.
It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since Google Stadia came out. Compared to the excessive fanfare at the time of release, Stadia has been suspiciously quiet for a while now, with things seemingly humming along in the background.
Of course, a lot has happened in the world since then — new consoles, an ongoing global pandemic, etc. — but we thought we’d take this opportunity to take a look at the state of Stadia in 2021.
Honor Honor 8XTable of contents
Honor has released a number of smartphones in 2018 — perhaps too many depending on who you ask — but they all aim to offer exceptional value and build quality that punches well above their price tag. The Honor 8X fits into the portfolio as a supersized phablet model priced at €249.
Somewhat confusingly, the Honor 8X doesn’t share too much in common with 2016’s Honor 8.

A Russian YouTuber has released another video showing the Google Pixel 3 XL. The YouTuber claims the Pixel 3 XL has an improved display and a vibration system on par with the iPhone. The camera was also praised. After a ton of leaks, it seems like we have already found out pretty much everything there is to know about the Google Pixel 3 XL. However, that hasn’t stopped Rezetked, the Russian YouTube channel behind some of the original leaks, from sharing another video.

Augmented reality may not completely change the way we use our smartphones, but there are some novelty use cases for it.
Samsung surprisingly announced a new flagship SoC and 5G modem at its ongoing Tech Day 2019 event in San Jose. The Exynos 990 closely follows Samsung’s Exynos 980 which was unveiled back in September.
While the Exynos 980 is a 5G-integrated chipset, the new Exynos 990 is a standalone application processor without a modem. That’s probably because Samsung also revealed a brand new 5G Exynos Modem 5123 which could be bundled with the new processor.
Indie games shine frequently on the Nintendo Switch console. Maybe it’s because so many great indie games play really well handheld, and the versatility of the Switch appeals to that. Or maybe indie games are just popular because they’re usually fantastic games. Small indie game developers put so much heart and soul into their games and perfect the little things.
It’s probably more the latter that makes indie games so appealing to the average consumer.
