iPhone 12 smokes the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in real-world speed test

TL;DR Apple’s iPhone 12 has outrun Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Ultra by a clear margin in a realistic speed test. It was consistently faster in CPU and GPU tests. You can chalk up a lot of it to Apple’s 5nm A14 Bionic chip. Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is a beast of a phone in most respects between its huge screen, capable cameras, and gobs of memory, but how fast is it compared to Apple’s latest mainstream phone?

iPhone SE 2022: What we want to see

The iPhone SE (2020) was a refreshingly compact phone in a sea of phablet-sized devices. Not only did it make one-handed usage a thing again, but it also brought with it a speedy processor and impressive imaging skills for a tough-to-beat $399 price. Two years hence, a lot has changed in the smartphone market. We’re seeing manufacturers bring top-of-the-line hardware down to budget and mid-range phones more than ever before. So can the iPhone SE (2022) pose a threat to affordable Android flagships this year?

Google held its much anticipated hardware event today where it announced the new Pixel 4 phones and a bunch of new devices. While the two smartphones were the stars of the show, Google also gave some love to its Nest brand at the event. The company unveiled a new Nest Wi-Fi router alongside range-boosting beacons that also act as Google Assistant speakers Google’s previous Wi-Fi router was called Google Wi-Fi. The new Nest Wi-Fi does not change much from what its predecessor offered, except for a refreshed design and Assistant functionality.

HTC RE Camera vs GoPro

HTC’s RE Camera is an interesting little device for those in the market for an ultra-portable camera. Although HTC isn’t marketing the RE Camera as a companion for your white water rapid adventures, when it comes to miniature portable cameras, the GoPro is the range to beat. There are a variety of GoPro camera’s available, many of which are quite a bit more expensive than HTC’s little RE Camera. The closest priced GoPro is the older HERO3, which retails for $199.

Simultaneous capture should be 2022's must-have camera feature

Hadlee Simons / Android Authority Today’s flagship smartphones are absolutely jam-packed with camera features. From staples like HDR, night mode, and portrait mode to astrophotography, Single Take, Magic Eraser, and Clone mode, there really are no shortage of modes to choose from if you want to get creative (or just want a better shot). In saying so, there’s one feature I’d really like Android manufacturers to embrace in 2022, and that’s simultaneous photo capture.

A month after Samsung unveiled the Note 9, the first Note 10 leak is here

TL;DR Samsung has reportedly given the Galaxy Note 10 the codename “Da Vinci.” Could this mean we can expect more S Pen advancements on the Note 10? Codenames are internal names given to smartphones during development. While they don’t generally tell us a whole lot about the phone, The Bell speculates that by naming the device after a famous painter, Samsung could be hinting at plans to improve the phone’s S Pen.
