dual-core ICS-based mid-ranger for Australia

Although it did threaten to take the Western tech world by storm during 2012 with several high-end phones and tablets some time ago, ZTE is still keeping a somewhat low profile outside Asia. The only new handhelds we’ve seen from the company in the past couple of months have been the same old decent looking budget-friendly devices with low-end specs. And while the new T81 doesn’t exactly fit into that profile, being clearly much snappier than the recently released Blade 3 or Warp Sequent, it doesn’t have the necessary muscles to fight the Galaxy S3 or LG Optimus G either.

Huawei P30 Pro gets two new colors

In addition to the 5G-capable Kirin 990 processor and FreeBuds 3, Huawei today also announced a mild refresh to the P30 Pro, including new two-tone colorways and improved camera features. Interestingly, Huawei calls this refreshed version the “New P30 Pro,” in an effort to bring the 6-month-old phone back into the spotlight. Huawei is expected to delay the Western release of the Mate 30 Pro, so a P30 Pro facelift could fill that void.

Moto Z3 vs OnePlus 6 vs Honor View 10 vs Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra

Despite boasting the industry’s first 5G capabilities (via a modular accessory), the Motorola Moto Z3 isn’t really a flagship contender, given it’s $480 price tag. Instead, it’s more of an upper mid-range handset, sharing a similar price bracket to the OnePlus 6, Samsung Galaxy A8, and now-discounted premium handsets from 2017. The phone is also a Verizon exclusive, meaning it’s only coming to the U.S. market, which doesn’t have a lot of competition around the $500 mark.

Samsung takes a swipe at iPhone "Batterygate" and notch in new ad

Samsung has released a new ad that once again picks a fight with its biggest rival, Apple. The video ad, dubbed “Moving On,” follows on from last year’s “Growing Up” campaign, and sees Samsung using recent controversies surrounding the Cupertino giant as ammunition in the ongoing fight for supremacy at the top of the mobile industry. The cheeky ad (above) follows a woman making a long distance trip where her travel plans are repeatedly scuppered by the slow performance of her phone.

What is Tether? Here's what you need to know about stablecoins

Edgar Cervantes / Android Authority Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum are often designed with a particular purpose or use-case in mind. Tether, also commonly referred to as USDT, is no exception to this rule — it is a digital currency that is designed to trade at exactly 1 US dollar at all times. Even though the overall crypto market is notorious for gaining or losing 10-30% of its value in a single day, Tether does the exact opposite.

Xiaomi officially announced the MIUI 11 launch date

After Xiaomi accidentally started rolling out MIUI 11 just over a month ago, it appears the updated OS is finally ready for the limelight. Xiaomi device owners can expect to see the official MIUI 11 launch October 16. In a recent tweet, the MIUI team posted a video teasing its launch. The tweet didn’t give any insight as to which devices or markets will receive the update first. All we can infer is that India devices should be at the top of the list since the tweet came from MIUI’s Indian Twitter account.
