Xiaomi gets sued in Beijing for delaying NFC support on Mi 5s Plus

With the introduction of Xiaomi’s very own mobile payment platform Mi Pay, NFC became an essential feature for the Chinese company. Mi Pay is particularly useful in its home turf since it can be used for public transport such as buses and metro. And that’s why when Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 5s and the Mi 5s Plus back in September, they made sure to explain that full NFC capabilities would be coming to those devices by the end of October.

Facebook introduces free video calling to Messenger

Facebook has just announced that it’s bringing free video calling to its Messenger application on both Android and iOS. The update, which is rolling out now in the Play Store, will allow you to simply tap the video camera icon on any existing Messenger conversation to instantly connect with your friends and family. The update is now available in the U.S., the U.K., Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, France, Greece, Ireland, Laos, Lithuania, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal and Uruguay.

HTC One X+ coming to Telus Canada "this fall", no words on pricing

According to Mobile Syrup, Telus has confirmed that it’ll put the One X+ up for grabs “this fall,” without mentioning any exact date or future pricing.
