Can AT&T fix in-flight WiFi?

It has not been a good 2014 so far for GoGo, one of the most popular providers of in-flight WiFi. AT&T said it will use “existing relationships within the aviation industry” to gain distribution. AT&T, however, could bundle in-flight plans with its existing wireless service. According to GoGo, they will be launching GTO (Ground to Orbit) technology in 2015 that will use satellite technologies with GoGo’s Air to Ground (ATG) cellular network which will be a boost in speed up to 60 Mbps per aircraft.

This is the strongest evidence yet that a Google-branded smartwatch is on the way soon. It’s possible the watch could land as early as next month at Google I/O, although that’s still a very shaky rumor. For literally years now, we’ve heard rumor after rumor about a Google-branded smartwatch being in the works.

Samsung and T-Mobile have both assured early Blaze 4G buyers that they won’t be stuck to Android 2.

‘Sheets to the Streets’ is a feminist art project performed in Google Sheets

Tasked with the simple premise of “break the grid,” two established creators have coordinated to produce an impressive art project within the restrictions of Google Sheets. Marina Esmeraldo, who is based out of Barcelona, has teamed up with NYC resident Mallory Heyer to produce something truly phenomenal. The two artists decided to take the restrictions of the spreadsheet medium to an abstract level, focusing on the limits that society implicitly puts on members of the ‘fairer’ sex.

ASUS Chromebox available for pre-order, shipping March 14

Back at the beginning of February, ASUS officially announced its new Chromebox line-up, which has now appeared for pre-order on a number of US websites, with a retail price of just $179. Amazon, Newegg, and TigerDirect all have the same ASUS Chromebox (M004U) available for pre-order, with a release date listed at March 14th. For a quick recap, the ASUS Chromebox model in question features a dual-core Intel Celeron 2955U processor, clock at a modest 1.

Microsoft adding SwiftKey support to Windows 10 devices in tablet mode

It looks like SwiftKey is finally about to make its debut on a Microsoft platform very soon. The popular virtual keyboard, which was purchased by Microsoft in early 2016, has started showing up for Windows 10 beta testers in the latest preview build. SwiftKey now appears as the default keyboard when using a Windows 10 device in tablet mode for users running the “Redstone 5” update (Build 17692). The keyboard is currently available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish languages.

Android 4.2 download available to all, but only contains new Gesture Typing keyboard

As you may already know, the new keyboard app comes with a new interesting feature called Gesture Typing, which is what Google calls its own Swype-like keyboard. In case you want to experience without having to wait for the actual Android 4.2 roll out to come out, you can do so right away. The only caveat is that you’ll need a device that doesn’t run stock Android ICS or higher to enable it.

Apple and Google Execs met in English mansion to secretly discuss government surveillance plans

An 18th-century Mansion in England hosted an unlikely meeting of spy chiefs from seven countries and representatives from tech giants last week. According to The Intercept, the meeting at Ditchley Park was held to discuss the topic of government surveillance and was an opportunity for the countries to discuss the reluctance of Apple and Google to allow access to their confidential servers.
