Samsung Galaxy S20 tipped to get 120Hz at QHD+

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series marks the first time Samsung adopts a higher refresh rate in its phones, topping out at 120Hz. Unfortunately, this high refresh rate can only be used at FHD+ resolutions, even though the Galaxy S20 phones offer QHD+ screens. So you essentially have to choose between the highest resolution or a high refresh rate. Fortunately, noted tipster and XDA writer Max Weinbach confirmed on Twitter that Samsung is currently testing the ability to use the 120Hz refresh rate at QHD+ resolution.

The Sharp Android One S3 embodies stock Android goodness in a tough shell

Sharp Corp., Japan has announced the company’s next Android One phone, the Sharp Android One S3. As the name suggests, it is Sharp’s low-cost Android One offering and will be available in Japan via Y! Mobile in four colors. The phone comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box and sports a fairly modest spec sheet. The Android One S3 is a successor to the Sharp X1, which was part of the Android One program in 2017.

Samsung has launched a new flagship smartphone in China. Based on the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the Samsung W22 features a few design tweaks, a bit more under the hood, and a steeper price.
