Pokémon Sword and Shield expansion coming soon

Any Nintendo Switch fans who are looking for more Pokémon Sword and Shield are in luck. There’s a brand new expansion called The Isle of Armor coming June 17. The Pokémon Company announced an expansion pass for Pokémon Sword and Shield a while back, and it looks like it’s time to get our hands on the first one. The company also announced that the second expansion, called The Crown Tundra, would release in fall 2020.

Samsung launches pink Galaxy S8 Plus, but there is a catch

Update, June 29: After a brief teasing, Samsung officially announced the release of the sixth Galaxy S8 Plus color version, Rose Pink. The new version will be sold in “select markets,” but only two regions have been confirmed to get it so far: Taiwan and South Korea. Pink smartphones tend to be popular, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see the new Rose Pink Galaxy S8 Plus in other countries. Regional offices will reveal further availability details.

Qualcomm will let you download GPU driver updates via Play Store

The Snapdragon 865 and 765 chipsets were unveiled yesterday, and will power a host of high-end and upper mid-range phones in 2020. We’ve already covered the key details, but one rather interesting addition is the ability for users to easily update their GPU drivers. Qualcomm said that it’ll allow GPU drivers to be updated via the Google Play Store, which is a much easier way of doing things than the current solution.

The Acer Leap Ware is a fitness-themed smartwatch due in July for $139

Acer’s press event in New York City earlier today showed off a bunch of new and upcoming products from the Taiwan-based company.
