Less than a day after an initial launch party in China, Vivo has now introduced its new flagship, the V9, in India. The V9 – which you read all about below – will retail for Rs. 22,990 (around $353).
Consumers in the region can pre-book a device from today at Vivo’s official e-store and other retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart, and Paytm Mall.As an added bonus, anyone you books a V9 between now and the official release date on April 2nd will be eligible for a one-off screen replacement service.
It’s November, and Samsung’s Developer Conference is in full swing. Did we learn anything new?

At the conference, Samsung introduced the new Bixby Developers Kit, which allows coders to make new actions for Bixby. You can control things from your home to your car, and the company showed a number of use cases in which the Galaxy Home could be useful using developer-enabled actions. The trouble is, we still don’t know exactly when you’ll be able to get a Galaxy Home or how much it will cost.
ETSI, short for the European Telecommunications Standards Institute, has decided on the next-generation SIM card, also known as the nano-SIM card. The fourth form factor, or 4FF, design will be 40% smaller than the current micro-SIM version, and it should help smartphone and tablet makers reduce the size of SIM trays in future devices and find a different use for the freed space.
The 4FF SIM card will measure 12.3 x 8.
