LG says the KS360 is not going to be its first Android phone

Samsung Galaxy Discover heading to StraightTalk and Net10

While the Canadian market has had it for a while now, the entry-level Samsung Galaxy Discover is now making its way to the United States via the prepaid carriers Straight Talk and Net10. For those that don’t know, the Discover is a very basic smartphone powered by an 800MHz Qualcomm processor with just a 3.5-inch HVGA display. Other specs for the Discover include 2.7GB storage, microSD for expansion, a 3MP camera and a 1300mAh battery.

Google Messages might handle iMessage reactions

TL;DR In Google Messages, iMessage reactions from iPhones come in as text messages. A future update to Messages could fix this annoying incompatibility. It’s not known how this will exactly work, but we expect Emoji reactions to come in place of “Liked an image” text. Because of this, iPhone users who use the reactions feature within iMessage end up sending full-length text messages to Android users. In Google Messages and most other Android SMS apps, these messages come in as “Liked…” or “Loved…” with the continuing text being the what’s being reacted to.

Google Play Music receives new UI and smarter playlists

Google Play Music is finally receiving a new makeover today, which brings major changes not only to the app’s user interface but also to how search results and recommendations are discovered. Google has announced that this update will arrive for Play Music on Android, iOS, and the web. Much of the upgrade is based around Google’s new machine learning technology that it is rolling out to the platform. The algorithms not only figure out what music you like, but can also combine this with data like your location, current activity, and even the weather, to create personalized music playback.

Samsung is the undisputed leader in the foldable phone space right now, offering a polished clamshell foldable in the Galaxy Z Flip and a much-improved large-screen experience in the Galaxy Z Fold 2. Now, Samsung Display may have given us a hint of future foldable phone designs, as it recently teased a device with a multi-folding design.
