OnePlus details plans to improve videography on its phones in 2020

OnePlus regularly organizes “Open Ear Forums” where the company takes in feedback and feature requests for its phones. In December, OnePlus hosted the event in New York and invited comments from professional mobile photographers as well as novice users on how to improve videography on its devices. The company has now published its own comments based on questions it received during the New York meetup. Unlocked Moto Z Play now available from several retailers

The unlocked version of Lenovo’s Moto Z Play, from its Motorola division, is now available from a number of different retailers in the US. Offering users a smooth Android experience without breaking the bank, the Moto G (1st Gen.) quickly became one of Motorola’s best selling smartphones of all time. The 2013 model is still a completely capable smartphone, and right now, you can pick one up for an extremely cheap price point. Best Buy is currently selling the Verizon prepaid Motorola Moto G in Black for just $19.99. It should be noted that since this is the Verizon version, the phone only comes with 3G connectivity, no LTE.

OnePlus teamed up with the creators of DxOMark for the OnePlus 5 camera

OnePlus just announced it has joined forces with DxO to “enhance your photography experience” with the upcoming OnePlus 5. DxO is the company behind DxOMark, which is a benchmark for camera and lens image quality measurements and ratings. With DxO’s help, OnePlus hopes it can step up its photography game with the upcoming flagship device. How exactly the two companies plan on doing this is anyone’s guess at this point, as the Chinese manufacturer did not share any specific info.

Samsung Galaxy S9 appears in 3D models leaked from its "Unpacked 2018" app

TL;DR New leak suggests Samsung will let MWC attendees view the upcoming Galaxy S9 using augmented reality. A Reddit user was able to tear down the Unpacked 2018 app and show the 3D models Samsung will use. The models show four different colors, the Bixby button, the new fingerprint scanner placement, and more. Samsung’s official unveiling of the Galaxy S9 at the Mobile World Congress 2018 is now only three days away.

How much storage do you need for a minute of 8K on Galaxy S20 series?

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series marks the first time we see 8K recording on a major smartphone line (bar the Red Magic 3), offering an exponential increase in detail compared to standard 4K videos. This quality increase will have ramifications for storage though, as Samsung says (via SamMobile) 8K video will consume 600MB of storage per minute. By comparison, 4K/30fps video on a modern phone varies from 200MB to 350MB per minute, depending on a variety of factors (bit-rate, format etc).
