Huawei Ascend P1 LTE passes through the FCC in its way to Japan

As excited as we were back in January about Huawei’s Ascend P1/P1 S high-end smartphones, we eventually got tired of waiting for either of the two devices to go up for sale in the US. Not to mention that the Ascend P1 S is nowhere to be found across the globe, being still scheduled to come “soon”. Not cool, Huawei, not cool at all! Now, a new version of the Ascend P1 has been spotted getting FCC’s approval, which gave us some hope that the device would finally be released in the US.

Motorola explains how to get another shot at a $350 Moto X today

One of the most attractive promos this Cyber Monday was the $150 price cut on the Moto X that Motorola first announced last week. Unfortunately, the Google-owned company misjudged the demand for the deal, and the customer onslaught brought Moto Maker to a standstill throughout the day. Motorola apologized and offered to make it up with two more days of sales, explaining in a blog post how it plans to manage demand this time around.

Google Photos knows that you take over 1.2 billion photos and videos per day, but share only a few. They understand my issue, at least: I don’t have time to choose the right pictures to share. Luckily, this was made super easy today, let’s explore.

Check out the alleged list of Samsung Galaxy S6 pre-installed apps

We are less than a week away from Samsung’s next big thing and if all rumors prove true, the Samsung Galaxy S6 may end up being the phone that many of us believed the GS5 would be: a less bloated Galaxy with a truly new design that sets itself apart from Galaxy S devices of the past. While we are starting to get a pretty good picture of what thedesign of the phone might look like, it’s hard not to be a little skeptical of the idea that Samsung is debloating TouchWiz and giving us a much more ‘basic’ experience out of the box.

Google Drive adds actionable notifications for file sharing

Google Drive is trying to make it easier than ever to share files by cutting out the email step. Moreover, they’ve improved access-granting functionality and made files previewable on Android even without a Google account. Remember USB drives? Remember emailing files to yourself so you could access them on another computer? Remember when a hard drive failure meant you lost all of your work? Cloud storage has revolutionized the way we save and exchange data, but as Group Project Manager Alex Vogenthaler points out in his blog post regarding this most recent update, it’s absolutely essential that cloud storage be secure as well as shareable.

Google takes a swipe at pricey iPhone XS in new Pixel 3a ad

The Google Pixel 3a is arguably one of the best mid-range phones on the market right now, and the Mountain View company isn’t afraid to compare it to more expensive devices. In fact, Google previously compared the Pixel 3a to the $999 iPhone XS. The search kingpin’s ads have the same basic theme, noting that the $999 Phone X (the iPhone XS again) “has Google.” But one of the ads, seen below, continues by saying the $399 Pixel 3a “is Google.
