More Google Home Mini details hinted at in FCC listing

Speculation that Google would introduce a “mini” version of its Google Home smart speaker began circulating recently, and it was tipped to be a $49 competitor to the Amazon Echo Dot. A couple of days ago, we got a potential first look at the device, and now, a recent Federal Communications Commission filing (via DroidLife) has added more weight to the rumors. While the listing doesn’t include the Google Home Mini name, it shares a number similarities with the original Google Home speaker filing, including its unique FCC ID — “A4RH0A,” similar to the Google Home’s “A4RH0ME” — and its description as a “media streaming device.

The LG G6 uses a four year-old version of Gorilla Glass on its display

Update: An LG spokesman told me that the G6 actually uses Gorilla Glass 3 on the camera as well and that there is no Gorilla Glass 4 anywhere. This is in contrast to several other statements made to journalists at MWC and during an LG tour in South Korea before the trade show. When asked why LG would use such an old version of Gorilla Glass on the front, the response amounted to a polite way of saying it wasn't deemed to be worth the additional cost.
