It’s no secret that BlackBerry has faced a dramatic shift in fortunes over the past few years, but the Canadian company is now looking to make a comeback by doing what many wanted them to do for years now – to make an Android phone!
It seems that a select few Google Play patrons have noticed that the Google Play store is now allowing them to partially pay for items with their remaining store credit. Google has not officially announced the change yet and it doesn’t seem to be working very widely at the moment, but a gradual back-end roll out could be under way.
On working devices, the partial payment option is in effect across apps, books, music, movies and the news-stand, and can also be put towards in-app purchases.
Face Unlock and Android Beam are two of the new features of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. But, for Android phones running Android 2.3.6 and higher, you can still enjoy the face unlocking feature from Android 4.0 ICS via the FaceLock app.
Created by SmartApps Mobile, the FaceLock app allows you to use your face as a key to unlock and access your non-ICS Android phone. What’s more is that you don’t need a front camera to use this app.
Because the 5G Moto Mod only works with Verizon’s 5G network, so only the Moto Z2 Force on Verizon is compatible. Also, Verizon’s 5G network is nascent and is only available in two cities across the U.S. as of this writing. Verizon will expand its 5G network to more cities over time, but we don’t know how fast or slow that rollout is.
We also don’t know how many Moto Z2 Force owners will jump at this, seeing how the phone is almost two years old.
In hopes of differentiating their products from the competition, a lot of manufacturers equip their phones with features that are, or at least look to be, a bit gimmicky at first glance. Update, February 26, 2019 (12:45 PM ET): It’s been months since Stardew Valley arrived for iOS, but it’s now almost here on Android. In a tweet from the game’s developer, it has been revealed that the title will be available to download from the Google Play Store on Thursday, March 14, 2019.
The game’s developer, Eric Barone, earlier affirmed this would be the full version of Stardew Valley up to version 1.3 (minus multiplayer).
