After months of rumors and leaks, even including a couple of hands-on reviews prior to its release, just about the only thing we didn’t know was what the latest HTC flagship would be called. Well, the HTC One (M8) is finally here, and even though there was very little we didn’t know about the device, we are certainly impressed by the latest high-end offering by HTC.
Naturally, with any new release, comes the question of how it compares to other flagship devices.
The OnePlus 7 Pro is one of the best Android flagships you can buy. It’s got the powerful Snapdragon 855, a versatile camera setup, a 90Hz display, and lots more going for it. Now, a current deal sees the OnePlus 7 Pro back on sale for one of the lowest prices we’ve ever seen it — $499.
That’s $170 lower than its original retail price of $669. This price drop makes the phone even cheaper than what it was during OnePlus’ Black Friday sale a couple of months ago.
At the ghost of MWC, Sony just announced the Xperia 1 II (or Mark 2). It’s Sony’s flagship for 2020, and in many ways, it catches up with the competition without really leapfrogging it. In other words, it’s typical Sony. Here’s what you need to know about the Sony Xperia 1 II’s specifications.

There are loads of smartphones out there on the market today, and we here at Android Authority endeavor to cover them all. But what about the phones we actually use every day as our daily drivers? After all, it’s one thing to review a phone and call it one of the best you can buy, but another thing entirely to use one as your primary device.
We did a Team AA daily driver poll back in 2018, as well as another one last year.
Our bodies create and use a ton of energy, and it could be going to better places, like, uh, your Android phone! If Cinderella were to live in the 21st century, she probably wouldn’t be very happy to hear what we are going to tell you today. 24-year-old Anthony Mutua from Kenya has developed an ultra-thin chip of crystals that can charge mobile phones when placed in shoe soles and the technology is set to go into mass production soon enough.
Farming Simulator 18, the latest in Giants Software’s long-running series, has now been released in the Google Play Store. This is only the third Giants Software title to make it to Android after Farming Simulator 14, which has been downloaded more than 10 million times, and Farming Simulator 16 from 2015.
Farming Simulator 18 sees you once again tending to your own farm, planting and harvesting crops, taking care of livestock, and driving more than 50 farming vehicles.
The Nvidia GeForce Now game streaming service is much older than Google’s Stadia service. Stadia though, for whatever reason, seems to have more buzz surrounding it. That might change now that GeForce Now is officially out of beta and open to all without a waiting period.
There is also a premium membership option that gives you unlimited six-hours-long sessions. You also get priority access to Nvidia’s gaming servers and access to exclusive RTX content that the free membership does not provide.
Samsung previously said its long-delayed Galaxy Fold device is launching in September, and we might just have a firm release date after all.
According to South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency (h/t: Android Central), Samsung and three mobile operators are discussing a September 6 launch date in the country. This date also coincides with the opening day of the IFA trade show in Berlin, and the outlet says Samsung will likely use the event to show off the revised model.
Samsung Gear VR (2017)While the Samsung Gear VR (2017) isn't a massive step forward for mobile VR, it is easily one of the most polished mobile VR solutions currently on the market. If you own or plan to buy a modern Samsung flagship and have even a faint interest in VR, this is really a no-brainer. Table of contents
Samsung Gear VR continues to be the dominant force in the virtual reality space – far eclipsing its closest competitors.

The free T-Mobile phone program started earlier this year with the Samsung Galaxy A32. Now, the OnePlus Nord N200 is on deck. As long as you’re a T-Mobile subscriber (or become one), you can hand over any working phone and get the Nord N200 for free. T-Mobile will run this program until at least the end of this year. Keep in mind that the phone on offer could change again between now and then.
