Facebook employees caught leaving 5-star reviews for Facebook Portal

If you visit the Facebook Portal listing over at Amazon.com, you’ll find plenty of five-star reviews of the smart display product. However, what you might not know is that a small handful of those glowing reviews are actually from Facebook employees. That’s what Kevin Roose — tech columnist for The New York Times — exposed on Twitter earlier today. Roose didn’t use any secret trickery to find the clearly-biased reviews, he simply checked the names: three prominent Facebook employees used their own, full names to review the product.

FreedomPop officially launches free phone service, with HTC EVO Design

There was a time when the only way to get decent cellular service in the United States was to chain yourself to a major provider with a lengthy contract. This model is slowly starting to change, as prepaid continues to catch on and more folks are ditching contracts for good. What if there was also a way to ditch phone service payments altogether? We know that sounds a bit like crazy talk, but that’s exactly what FreedomPop is attempting to do with its brand new free phone service.

GMD Air Command allows you to open Air Command without using S-Pen

Easily one of the coolest features that debuted with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was air command, a then-new menu that contains commands such as Action Memo, Scrapbook, S Finder, Pen Window and more. Since then, the air command feature has also rolled out to other S-Pen equipped devices like the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014. While air command is obviously built with the S-Pen in mind, the reality is that not all functions really need the stylus such as creating a floating window.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series generally looks like a great trio of flagship phones, featuring powerful internals (at least when it comes to the Snapdragon variant), upgraded main cameras on the base and Plus models, and an S Pen slot on the Ultra variant. One thing you won’t be getting here though is a DIY-friendly design, according to the folks over at iFixit.

Nexus 6P vs Samsung Galaxy Note 5

When the Nexus 6 was released last year, Google and Motorola took the Nexus line up a notch, bringing the world a powerful Nexus device that was more comparable to its competitors than ever before, though it still lacked in a few areas such as camera, and offered a less premium plastic build. With the Huawei-built Nexus 6P, Google finally offers a pure Android experience in a premium flagship package, with the line no longer lacking in key aspects when compared to its high-end competition.

“Ready Player One” brings tons of discounts for movies, games, and books on Google Play

TL;DR To celebrate the release of Ready Player One, Google is offering a ton of discounts at the Google Play Store. Movies, books, and games related to Ready Player One in some way are getting large price cuts. Google doesn’t say how long the discounts will last, so it’d be smart to get on the price drops quickly. The latest film from blockbuster auteur Steven Spielberg, Ready Player One, hit theatres yesterday.
