It’s been almost a year since T-Mobile launched what they call “T-Mobile Tuesdays”: a part of T-Mobile’s 11th Un-carrier move, it essentially revolutionized how we define loyalty programs. Instead of asking customers to spend more to prove their loyalty, T-Mobile gave out free stuff every Tuesday in order to thank them for their loyalty.
While Caterpillar is obviously best known for its heavy-duty construction-oriented machinery, they also happen to be a smartphone maker. As you might expect, they don’t produce just any ordinary device, however, as the Cat B15 is built to take more than a punch or two and yet keep on kicking.

Samsung Electronics will use batteries supplied by its Samsung SDI branch for the Galaxy S8, according to a new report. The information arrives from The Investor, which claims that Samsung Electronics is seeking the SDI department’s services despite previously suspecting its batteries were responsible for the Galaxy Note 7’s overheating issue.
Samsung is said to have lost billions of dollars on the cancelled Galaxy Note 7 last year, following reports of it catching fire.

It’s probably safe to say that the Nexus Q, that overpriced entertainment Android-based device unveiled at Google I/O this summer although never actually launched in the months that followed, is not one of Google’s finest creations, especially considering that it somewhat represented a Google TV rival.

Google and Amazon have a funny relationship with each other. Amazon’s line of tablets, the Kindle Fire series, are powered by a heavily skinned Android operating system. And yet, Amazon has long maintained its own app ecosystem, and pitted it against the Play Store. Noticeably absent from Amazon’s app store is anything having to do with Google – Maps, Gmail, YouTube, etc. On the other side, Google devices, like the Chromecast, don’t work with Amazon hardware.
Did you know that Lenovo has an Android app store of its own? Neither do we. Apparently, it has been around since March 2012. Any hope of trying to get to know it better is too little too late since Lenovo has decided to pull the plug of its Google Play alternative. As of September 21, Lenovo’s Android app shop will cease to exist.
It’s not out of the ordinary for manufacturers to provide a digital outlet – as a complement to Google Play – for their users to buy and download apps from.
