Google to include scrolling screenshots in Android R

Dave Burke, Google vice president of engineering for Android, mentioned today on Twitter that scrolling screenshots are “in the hopper” for Android R. Nothing is concrete, since Burke also said the Android team can “hopefully” implement scrolling screenshots in Android R. Nokia 9.1 PureView now tipped to arrive in Q2 2020

The Nokia 9 PureView is HMD’s flagship release for 2019, but it was a rather disappointing device. Between last year’s flagship silicon, and a polarizing penta-camera setup, it could’ve been so much better. HMD is apparently working on a follow-up, dubbed the Nokia 9.1 PureView, and it was previously claimed that this device is set to launch later this year. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update heading to Orange San Diego

The Orange San Diego is not your ordinary Android smartphone. Released on June 6 in the UK, it marks Intel’s first foray in the smartphone market, as it is powered by the company’s 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 Medfield processor. Though the Atom-based 4-inch phone is by no means a slouch, early adopters were rather puzzled by Intel’s decision to ship it only with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which didn’t exactly help convince more buyers to flock to the San Diego.

(Update: Even) more evidence that Android N may drop the app drawer

Update, February 23: Even more new evidence has arisen: the HTC One X9 doesn't have an app drawer either, although it does have an option to enable it. While the new Sony Xperia X series does maintain the app drawer, the software is non-final and the Sony Marshmallow concept doing the rounds includes the option for a “classic" or “modern" layout -- with or without an app drawer. Original post, February 21: The evidence supporting the lack of an app drawer in the Android N release is really starting to stack up.
