We have already had a good look inside Samsung’s brand new Galaxy S6 and now iFixit has taken apart the Galaxy S6 Edge, so we can see if the curved display makes any difference to Samsung’s internal design. Unfortunately, the team awarded the S6 Edge just a 3 out of 10 for repairability. Let’s find out why. Right off the bat, the glass back makes getting into the handset much tougher than previous generations.

Samsung Galaxy S7 owners are being informed phone is not recalled

Samsung Galaxy S7 owners are reportedly getting direct notifications on their phones reminding them that the devices are not under the same worldwide recall program that is currently underway for the Galaxy Note 7. The report comes from TechnoBuffalo, which states that one of its staff members saw the following message appear on his Galaxy S7: The message clearly is meant to inform Galaxy S7 owners, and also perhaps to reassure them that their phone is most likely not going to explode on them like a number of Note 7 smartphones have over the past month.

The first Android Go in the U.S.

TL;DR The ZTE Tempo Go has become the first phone that runs Android Go to be released in the U.S. It has pretty basic specs but is available for only $79.99. Android Go is essentially a stripped down version of Android Oreo for entry-level smartphones. The ZTE Tempo Go has just gone on sale on ZTE’s official website in the U.S. This makes it the first smartphone running Android Go to be available in the country.

Acer has introduced six new Chromebook models that include what it says is the “industry’s first” 17-inch model, the Chromebook 317 (pictured above).

Everything you need to know about 2019 mobile processors

Three major smartphone SoC designers have now detailed their next-generation designs, which will power smartphones throughout 2019. Huawei was first with its Kirin 980, already powering the Huawei Mate 20 series. Samsung followed, announcing its Exynos 9820. Now Qualcomm’s just announced the Snapdragon 855. As usual, a selection of performance improvements are on offer in both the CPU and GPU department. There’s also a continued focus on “AI” processing capabilities and faster 4G LTE connectivity, but no out-of-the-box 5G chip on the market just yet.
