Apple dongle no longer included with purchase of iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max

If you want wired listening with the new iPhone XR, XS, or XS Max, then you’ll have to buy the Apple dongle separately. Although its inclusion was a small gesture, the absence could rub customers the wrong way. After all, a one-time payment for the base model iPhone XS Max is $1,099. You’d think the trillion-dollar company could afford to provide users with an adapter. Granted, many users who listen via true wireless or traditional wireless earbuds may not care about the omission.

A lot has changed in the last couple decades. When I was a child, communication largely meant one of three methods: in-person, through the mail, or using a landline. Sure cellphones and email existed, but neither were that commonplace for average individuals until the later part of the 90s. This year we saw Chrome for Android Beta for the first time, and we were impressed by the browser’s speed and performance (you’d expect that from Chrome after all).
